About Us
In Character
House Dawnstrike is lead by Lord Naelyn Dawnstrike, His fiancee Lady Emeraude Lonaril and their Seneschal Tamuril Maeve.
The physical location of House Dawnstrike is the new construction adjacent to "Falconwing Square." This of course is purely a "fictionalized location," as Blizzard has done no substantive updates to Silvermoon since the end of Burning Crusade.
It is the ancestral home of the Dawnstrikes a well blooded and long lived family of what were once Quel'dorei elves, then later under the leadership of Kael'thas Sunstrider - Sin'dorei.
The large estate is maintained by a collection of Sin'dorei, Tauren, Orcs, Trolls, Goblins, and Forsaken all of whom have chosen to wear the tabard of the Dawnstrikes.
There are scullery servants, concubines, maids, guards, scribes and retainers - all of whom keep the home fires burning for their Lord and Lady whom fight for wealth and glory in Vol'jin's Horde.
Blooded members of the family however, are uneasy members of the Horde. That said, they hold no mercy for any who serve Stormwind either.
At their core, they believe in the supremacy of the Sin'dorei, some even hopeful for sovereignty from the Horde or the rightful ascension of the Blood Elves to the head of its tenuous alliance.
When asked to characterize the general "alignment" of the guild the most accurate descriptor would Neutral Evil to Lawful Evil. This is a place for those characters.
They are expedient though at times, painfully patient when rolling out a "plot" to foil their foes... who are nearly anyone who is not useful to their own sometimes mercurial ends.
Out of Character
House Dawnstrike is a Horde guild on the U.S. Server of Moon Guard. Noir/Transgressive Sandbox Role Play is the name of our game. It is a home for those who seek to stretch their literary muscles, who wish to play characters that range from the humble bondsman to the Tabard wearing Vassals and Retainers.
Due to the Noir/Transgressive nature of the house, players of full on "Holy" or "Lawful Good" Alignments are not encouraged to join.
Some conflict within the house is good, however, with characters of Chaotic Neutral to Chaotic Evil Alignment - we've likely got plenty already.
We seek Mature players - those over 18 years of age, the context and the nature of both Noir and Transgressive literature is not "Family Friendly," and there will be very adult situations/language encountered within.
Though clearly as the name suggests "House Dawnstrike" is one of the many noble houses of Silvermoon, it has its distinctions.
Unlike many guilds, we are not interested in spoon feeding role players and writers plot to follow, nor are we concerned with squeezing your character into a narrow slot. It is a freeform role play guild where each member may craft their own story arcs and lines as fits their character.
That said, it is a house of intrigue, graft, decadence, and darkness. Amongst us are the Apostate, the Cultist, the Closet Creep, the Morally weak and often socially shunned. We hope to offer a Transgressive sandbox, where writers of noir themes may find freedom to do so.
However, to imagine we as players and writers move beyond established lore would be incorrect, all characters must adhere to lore - meaning we have no room for vampire cat girls from Mars, Bastard sons of Kael'Thas, or other such deviations.
Expanding upon lore, playing with its general plasticity however is encouraged, when in doubt consult with any of the members, bounce around ideas and remember we're here to have fun and create a cooperative environment.
